We enjoyed our stay at Termas de Papallacta for a single night (Wednesday) in January 2023. The thermal pools were the reason we came, and were the highlight of this location. Even in the rain, it was very relaxing to soak in the warm pools. The grounds were well manicured with a huge variety of local plants and flowers surrounding every pool.
The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The walk-in shower was very spacious. The floors were nice and warm thanks to the thermal heating underneath.
The food at two of the on-site restaurants was good. The chochos and palm heart ceviche was excellent and we ended up ordering it for lunch and again at dinner. Breakfast was a very nice buffet with tons of options to choose from.
Check in is at 3pm. So when we arrived at 11:30 am, our room was not yet ready. So, we stored our luggage with the front desk and passed the time walking the 2km hiking path adjacent to the property. What a gem! There were educational signs along the path identifying the various trees and plants. The flora and fauna were abundant and the river views were definitely photo worthy. Be sure to bring your camera on this hike.
We did not use the spa services during our stay, but the pools and grounds were equally well manicured.
We definitely recommend a stay at Termas de Papallacta.”
