Booked through Gate 1. This is a great Spa resort. Outside of the cabin, there are public thermal pools so we can easily access. I didn’t go to the spa but my friend did and she enjoyed it a lot. Instead, I went to hiking with our tour manager and we saw some Llamas. While me and my friend taking a morning walk next morning (just a round the resort), we saw a lot of hummingbirds, they were in different color and so pretty. So make sure you don’t miss that if you like nature! The breakfast there was pretty good. I love those exotic fruits. If you see it, try it!

Beautiful grounds and landscaping. Friendly & helpful staff. Thermal soaking pools all along the boardwalks in front of most rooms. Rooms are very nice. Opted for a massage at the Spa and was well treated. A little bit of language problems for me, but always solved quickly by an English speaking employee nearby. Seemed to be a very popular vacation/get-away spot for more local people. Would like to have spent more time here.

Nice experience.. my third time in this place (Using SPA). but first one during a sunny day… take care with solar protection… sun is incredibly powerful at this altitude. Arrives early of preference to enjoy pools during weekend with no much people sharing it… Restaurant is fine but it could be much better. If you are driving from Quito please consider and get away from some drivers that don’t know elementary road education… specially if you are back to Quito using Freeway with high stepped angle… there is a small fragment on road which is being attended due close landslide… no much warning signs alerting about it.. Landscape is very nice and during sunny days is possible to see Antisana Volcano from La Virgen area.. highest point of the road… then.. follow signs and enjoy your day…

My husband and I booked a trip from Quito where we were staying to go to Termas de Papallacta, it was a long bus ride and quite difficult understanding which bus to take also if buses were running to that town to find. Somehow we made it, we had a bite to eat once we arrived after that long drive in a small restaurant (can’t remember the name) however for us like most local foods it was great! We had some reservations if we should go into the baths because it started to rain and we thought we would catch a cold or become sick being in the pool in the outdoors. We spoke with the ladies who worked at reception of the hotel who educated us on the benefits and enjoyment of the spa and I’m glad she did because we decided not to ask for a refund (not sure if they do this BTW) but instead gave it a try. We ended up spending eight hours and not wanting to leave. We spent time in the warm pool and also the freezing cold one as a way to circulate our blood flow as advised by two ladies we met there, (really kind) we also tried the other pools located to the east side and felt so much better (health wise, believe it or not) afterwards. Would definitely recommend, beautiful surroundings and a must see!
